Technical Brief

Over the last 16 years, AnCon Bio-Services have developed a method of growing called, PROBIOTICS, requiring a minimum amount of pesticides.  Most of the work has been done with turfgrass, golf courses and has been very successful.  AnCon Bio-Services believes, PROBIOTICS technology and associated products can be also applicable to agricultural industry.

What AnCon Bio-Services have found interesting and what we believe is the reason PROBIOTICS would be essential to the Agricultural market, the golf courses have used very little if any pesticides and these courses have not been plagued with root eating nematodes.  Recent test program on a golf course green, has verified this finding, that PROBIOTIC controls root eating nematodes.

The technology can address these root eating nematodes without using dangerous pesticides.  In addition, the product will also increase crop yields, quality of product flavor and brix, all without the use of pesticides.  PROBIOTICS will improve the fertility of the soil with time rather than deteriorating the soil that uses synthetic fertilizers and pesticides.

AnCon Bio-Services follows Elaine Ingham's understanding of the soil which defines the soil as living with the required amounts of living microorganism for each specific plant and or crop.  Elaine's approach of balancing the chemical as well as the biological aspects of the soil is a very important and powerful tool.  Basically then, understanding the fertility becomes a science.  An-Con's technology, as what is referred as "PROBIOTIC", has drivers to build these soils to the required microbial make up for the plant being grown as well as adding synergistic inoculants that greatly enhance the fertility of the soil.

AnCon also states that PROBIOTIC changes the genetic expression of a plant referred to as epigenetic, in effect, turning on genes that were turned off because of how the plant was synthetically feed vs. PROBIOTICALLY.  The epigenetic is also carried into the plants defense systems.  Root eating nematodes cleverly change and turn off the plant's natural defenses making a plant very susceptible to their invasion even to the point of making the plant, host, to nurture nematode existence with there own being.

Once being exposed to PROBIOTIC, the plant changes its genetic expression for the best, turning on genes that improve the flavor, brix content, and most importantly turning back on gene for its own defense mechanism, particularly the ones that defend against root eating nematodes.
